1) Morning Children’s Poetry Workshop | Imagine – You’re a Poet! | 10:00 a.m. – noon
For children ages 4-12 | Young poets create pictures using words to describe what they feel and see. You can do this, too! Come be inspired to write a poem and share it! Activities will be led by Lindsey Pinchbeck and Hannah Wells, and children of Sweet Tree School, attendees and families will receive Millay Passes to view Farnsworth exhibits.
2) An Afternoon with Millay | 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
MILLAY AND ME: A Poetry Reading and Talk by Wesley McNair
In this reading of his poetry, Wesley McNair, called by poet Philip Levine “one of the great storytellers of contemporary poetry,” will speak about his life-long admiration of Edna St. Vincent Millay and show the connections between Millay’s development and his own. (Seating in the Library is limited.)
