Millay House Rockland, a non-profit corporation, exists to promote an appreciation of Maine’s literary history through the preservation of the birthplace and home of Pulitzer Prize wining poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, and to support literary arts and artists in this space.

A two-bedroom rental is available in Rockland Maine, in the house where American poet Edna St. Vincent Millay was born. The north half (left side if looking at the photo here) of the historic double house is located within walking distance of the Farnsworth Art Museum, the Rockland Public Library, downtown, and the harbor.

The rental contains a living room, a dining room, a modern kitchen, two bedrooms, an office, a bathroom, a powder room, steep stairs, plus a shared washer and dryer, and a garage. Water, sewer, lawn care, snow removal, and weekly trash pick-up are provided. The tenant must pay for heat and electricity.

No children, no pets, and no smoking indoors are allowed. Suitable for one or two adults.

Rent on the one-year lease is $1,800 per month. Applications will be considered at any time.
