Festival Open House at Millay House

  • Millay House Rockland 198 Broadway Rockland, ME, 04841 United States (map)

Millay House Rockland will again hold an open house during Rockland’s Festival of Lights, Saturday, November 29, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

The double house at 198 Broadway is the birthplace of Pulitzer-Prize-winning poet Edna St. Vincent Millay. Millay grew up in Union and Camden, graduated from Vassar, and went on to publish poetry, short stories, and the libretto for an opera. During the Roaring ‘20s, her dramatic poetry readings across the country made her the most popular woman in America.

Come join us for homemade cookies and hot cider. Help launch the 2025-2026 Millay House membership campaign, learn about our Writer-in-Residence program, what’s been happening at the house in 2025, and what’s coming for 2026.

NOTE: The Millay House has limited parking. Please park at the Rockland Congregational Church 180 Limerock St., or Burpee Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home at 110 Limerock St.
