Come learn about the Millay House in Rockland, where Pulitzer Prize winning poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay was born. In this 45 minute session, we’ll share some history of her birthplace in Rockland, Maine with historian Ann Morris, some youthful writing from her days at Camden High School with teacher Jen Munson who’s done a great deal of research into her juvenilia, and hear the background behind one of Millay's important but lesser known poems with poet and archivist, Jefferson Navicky.
All presenters are members of the board and staff of the nonprofit Millay House Rockland. Current board president Meg Weston will talk about our writer-in-residence and Maine Coast Writers Retreat programs, and answer your questions about becoming a member.
