The House Where Vincent Was Born . . . learn about why becoming a member is so important!

  • Millay House Rockland P. O. 831 Rockland, ME, 04841 United States (map)

Learn about the Millay House in Rockland, where Pulitzer Prize winning poet, Edna St. Vincent Millay was born. In this 45 minute session, we shared some history of her birthplace in Rockland, Maine with historian Ann Morris, some youthful writing from her days at Camden High School with teacher Jen Munson who’s done a great deal of research into her juvenilia, and hear the background behind one of Millay's important but lesser known poems with poet and archivist, Jefferson Navicky.

All presenters are members of the board and staff of the nonprofit Millay House Rockland. Current board president Meg Weston talked about our writer-in-residence and Maine Coast Writers Retreat programs, and answered your questions about becoming a member.

Find out more about what your Membership supports as well as how you can get more involved in our events and classes.
